Nate was really excited to go. He was up and happy to get going. He did his best to help Marshall be happy, but nothing was working. Marshall was not happy about school. Not one bit. Nate LOVES school, Marshall does not. School is just another interruption in Marshall's world where he wants everything to be the same! We had a morning full of meltdowns and angry faces. I just tried to be very patient and hold him on my lap and tell him he was OK. We read The Kissing Hand, by Audrey Penn this morning in my feeble attempt to get him to understand that he would be OK. Since last Thursday, we've been re
ading Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes. We thought about reading the Junie B. Jones series, especially the 1st book titled, "The Stupid Smelly Bus", but then we remembered how Marshall takes things literally, and we don't actually want hi
m to act like Junie B. even though we think the b
ook is hysterical. I think we'll stick with Wemberly Worried.
